Thank you for your interest in graduate programs within the UGA Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program. This program offers a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Toxicology. A successful graduate applicant must be accepted by a Faculty of the Toxicology Program before admission into the program.

*Statement of Purpose/Interest - Environmental Health Science emphasis only - fill in the EHS required form and send to Tox address and not the departmental address listed on the online forms.
* All others, please submit a short paper describing your interests and goals.
All successful Tox applicants must have a Tox Faculty member who has agreed to take on/serve as Major Advisor to the student. The applicant must identify faculty working in areas of interest, then begin a dialogue with those faculty members. The Tox Office should be kept informed of your progress in this area. (Check out the "Faculty" page to see who has stated they are looking for a student.)
Complete applications should be received by the Tox Program by December 15th in order to receive full consideration of University and Program Assistantships. Remember - Applications are processed at the Graduate School first and then forwarded to the Tox Program, which could take several days.
Applications received after Dec 15th by the Tox Program will be reviewed according to Graduate School guidelines, but may not receive consideration for funding.
All completed applications will be reviewed by the ITP Admissions Committee. This year the first review takes place in mid- November. As additional completed applications arrive, additional review sessions will occur.
Recommendations of Acceptance will usually be sent to the Graduate School soon after each review session. The Graduate School will then send notifications to applicants.
****IMPORTANT NOTE: The GRE General Test has changed. MInimum recommended scores are 50% in both the Verbal and Quantitative sections.
It is recommended that an applicant for an MS degree should have a GPA of 3.0.
It is recommended that a PhD applicant who has a MS should have a graduate GPA of 3.5.
It is recommended that a PhD applicant with a BS should have a GPA of 3.3.
Current ITP MS students who wish to transfer to the PhD program should submit a full application including GRE scores and letters of recommendation to the ITP program office for consideration by the Admissions Committee.
